Okay, it’s time to come clean. On July 24, 2021, we secretly eloped to Las Vegas! Well, it wasn’t a total secret… our parents and siblings watched via live stream, but the in-person celebrations only included us!

Yes, our Zion wedding is happening as promised.

Ricky originally planned to propose in November 2020 with the aim of having a 2021 wedding, but COVID put a stop to that (and his ten other contingency plans). Amongst all the uncertainty, one thing was certain: we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together – so we began planning an elopement, knowing we’d also have a bigger celebration in 2022. 

Originally, we wanted to have the ceremony with only our parents and siblings in New York, but the US/UK travel ban prevented Ricky’s family from being able to attend. Getting married this year was still important to us, so when we looked at one another and said, “should we just go to Vegas?” we knew we’d found an unforgettable way to start our marriage – just the two of us.
